OUR CHARITY PARTNERS

At the AMCK Legacy Foundation, our mission is to create meaningful, long-term impact for commercial dancers - on and off the stage. Our charity partners allow us to do this with a 360° approach. We recognise that no single organisation can meet every need alone, which is why strategic charity partnerships sit at the heart of our work.

We partner with charities whose expertise, values and reach complement our own, allowing us to take a 360° approach to supporting dancers as whole individuals. These partnerships enable us to address multiple areas of need across the industry - from access and equity, to physical and mental wellbeing, education, and long-term career sustainability.

Rather than operating in isolation, we collaborate closely with each partner to co-create bespoke initiatives that directly support the aims of the AMCK Legacy Foundation. By working through our partners’ established networks and specialist knowledge, we are able to deliver targeted programmes that reach dancers where support is most needed and create real, on-the-ground impact.

BAPAM

The British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) is the UK’s leading medical charity dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of individuals working in the performing arts. Established in 1984, BAPAM provides free specialist clinical services tailored to the physical and psychological demands of creative performance.

BAPAM’s nationwide network of clinicians offers free consultations, expert assessments and guidance for issues ranging from musculoskeletal injuries and vocal health to mental health, hearing, vision and dental concerns.

In addition to clinical support, BAPAM offers training, educational resources and healthy-practice guidance designed to prevent performance-related injuries and promote sustainable careers. The organisation also collaborates with industry bodies, charities, unions and educational institutions to raise awareness of performers’ health needs and deliver sector-wide wellbeing initiatives.

By providing specialist, evidence-informed care and education, BAPAM helps performers and creative workers stay healthy, resilient and able to thrive throughout their careers.

THE TIRED MOVEMENT

TIRED (Trying to Improve Racial Equality in Dance) is a pioneering movement committed to transforming the landscape of performing arts education by championing representation, diversity, inclusivity, and equity.

Founded in 2020 by Stacey Green, TIRED was born from the pressing need to address the enduring disparities in the dance and performing arts industry - exactly 100 years after the first Black performer was allowed on a Broadway stage. (1920-2020)

Through impactful collaborations with dance schools, colleges, and organisations, TIRED strives to dismantle systemic barriers and build a more equitable future for all aspiring performers.

By amplifying underrepresented voices and driving meaningful change, TIRED envisions a performing arts world that celebrates and reflects the diversity of its talent.
